Live Debate Terms & Conditions

By registering for, joining, or participating in any live or recorded debate, discussion, or conversation hosted by The Fulfilled Entrepreneur, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service and Participation Standards.

These terms are intended to preserve substantive discussion, clarity of argument, and conversational integrity while allowing participants to express themselves freely.

1. Purpose of the Debate

The purpose of these debates is to examine controversial or complex topics through sustained discussion, disagreement, and challenge.

Participants should expect:
1️⃣Extended focus on a defined subject
2️⃣Exposure to opposing viewpoints
3️⃣Public visibility and accountability for their statements
4️⃣Active moderation to maintain coherence and continuity

Participation is voluntary and conditional upon compliance with these terms.

2. Core Participation Expectations

All participants agree to:
1️⃣Speak in good faith
2️⃣Stay on the agreed-upon topic before pivoting
3️⃣Allow others to finish their thoughts
4️⃣Engage with curiosity
5️⃣Disagreement is welcome. Disrespect is not.

4. Permissible Expression

A. What Is Allowed

1️⃣Strong disagreement with ideas or positions
2️⃣Strong criticism of public figures, institutions, ideologies, or movements
3️⃣Asking difficult or uncomfortable questions respectfully
4️⃣Pausing to clarify definitions before continuing

B. What Is Encouraged

1️⃣Challenging assumptions with logic, evidence, or lived experience
2️⃣Changing your position when presented with compelling evidence
3️⃣Respect for all participants and viewers
4️⃣Engage with the stated topic in a sustained manner

3. What Is NOT Allowed

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and may result in removal from the debate with or without warning:

A. Personal Attacks & Harassment

1️⃣Unnecessary or unwarranted name-calling, insults, or derogatory language
2️⃣Derogatory attacks based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, disability, or appearance
3️⃣Repeatedly mocking, belittling, or demeaning another participant instead of addressing the point being made

B. Bad-Faith Debate Tactics

The host reserves the right to intervene or remove participants engaging in persistent bad-faith tactics, including but not limited to:

1️⃣Topic Pivoting / Evasion - Repeatedly shifting subjects to avoid addressing a specific claim
2️⃣Gish Galloping - Introducing an excessive number of claims without allowing examination
3️⃣Straw Man Arguments - Deliberately mischaracterizing an opponent’s stated position
4️⃣Whataboutism - Deflecting criticism by introducing unrelated comparisons
5️⃣Ad Hominem Substitution - Using personal attacks in place of substantive engagement
6️⃣False Equivalence - Treating materially different situations as logically identical
7️⃣Circular Reasoning - Using a conclusion as its own justification
8️⃣Appeal to Motive - Dismissing arguments solely by speculating on intent rather than content
9️⃣Refusal to Engage with Counterpoints - Repeating assertions without addressing responses

C. Threats & Harmful Speech
1️⃣Threats of violence or harm (explicit or implied)
2️⃣Encouragement or glorification of violence
3️⃣Dehumanizing language toward individuals or groups

D. Disruptive Behavior
1️⃣Talking over others repeatedly after being warned
2️⃣Refusing to follow moderator instructions
3️⃣Intentionally derailing the conversation

5. Topic Discipline

Each debate will be conducted around a defined topic or question.

Participants agree that:

1️⃣Participants are expected to stay on that subject until it is reasonably explored
2️⃣New lines of argument should relate clearly to the subject
3️⃣Major pivots require acknowledgment or moderator approval
4️⃣Repeated refusal to stay within scope may be treated as disruptive behavior

6. Moderation & Enforcement

The host reserves the right to:
1️⃣Pause the discussion
2️⃣Redirect the conversation
3️⃣Mute a participant
4️⃣Remove a participant from the live session
5️⃣End the debate entirely

These actions are taken at the sole discretion of the host to preserve conversation quality. No refunds, appeals, or re-entries are guaranteed.

7. Recording & Distribution

By participating, you acknowledge and agree that:
1️⃣Debates are recorded
2️⃣Recordings may be livestreamed, replayed, clipped, edited, and distributed publicly
3️⃣Your voice, image, and statements may be used for educational or promotional purposes

4️⃣If you are uncomfortable or do not consent to being recorded, please do not participate.

8. No Professional Advice Disclaimer

Debates are for educational and discussion purposes only.

No statements made during debates constitute legal, medical, financial, or mental health advice.

Participants are responsible for their own interpretations and actions.

9. Removal Without Explanation

Participation may be terminated at any time if these terms are violated.
The host is not obligated to provide warnings, explanations, or justifications for removal.

10. Agreement

By registering for or joining a debate, you affirm that:

2️⃣You accept moderation authority
3️⃣You assume responsibility for your statements
4️⃣You agree to these Terms of Service in full
